maxTommy has been involved with horses since he can first remember.  He grew up on the Allison Ranch in Southwest Texas where he learned the value of a truly broke horse that has the versatility to go on and do anything. Tommy went on to win the Tri-State High School Rodeo Championship in the Heeling. Tommy continued to further his education at Clarendon College. He went on to win the AQHA World Championship Horse Judging Individual Contest as well as lead his team to the AQHA World Championship. After graduating at Clarendon, he continued at West Texas A&M. Tommy worked his way through college training outside horses and day-working for area ranches.

After college, Tommy moved to Overbrook, Oklahoma to take a job working for multiple AQHA World Champion and NCHA Hall of Fame trainer Bobby Lewis. It was at Bobby's where he was able to learn from one of the best all-around horse trainers in the industry. Tommy developed a successful training program with versatility being a major emphasis. He has successfully competed in the cowhorse, reining, roping and the cutting. Throughout his career, he has had the opportunity to grow and learn from being able to ride many great horses. In return, he is completely devoted to the care and training of his horses, and trains each horse according to their individual needs. Tommy is an accomplished horseman and trainer of multiple horses placing in the top 10 at the AQHA and APHA World Shows.

Tommy and his wife, Jessica, were married in 2009.  Jessica is the business manager of Mather Quarter Horses and she also runs her own marketing and design business. She designs ads, builds and manages websites for prominant ranches, breeding and training operations in the equine industry. See her ads in the Quarter Horse News, AQHA Journal, The Reiner, The Chatter, TRACK Magazine, Speedhorse, Americas Horse, Western Horseman, etc...  Jessica loves to ride and show reining, cutting and cow horses.

Jessica went to college at the University of Wisconsin -River Falls where she majored in Equine Science and Management. It was at college, under instruction of Professor Larry Kasten, where she developed a deep passion for the reining industry. In River Falls, she worked for Sally and Neal Broten, Brian Welman, Nettie Baker and Keith and Kathy Pinkley where she further increased her knowledge in the reining horse industry. After college she moved to Oklahoma, and took a job working for Ginger and Craig Schmersal (NRHA 2 Million Dollar Rider). At Schmersal Reining Horses, Jessica was able to learn from two of the best people in the industry about managing a successful training and breeding program.
